Pharo edible oils are pressed from seeds sourced from the highlands of Ethiopia. Our initial
portfolio of hot and cold-pressed edible oils consists of three crude oils
(Sesame Seed, Black Cumin Seed, and Niger Seed).
Pharo edible oil seeds are obtained from farmer cooperatives, out-grower schemes, and the
Pharo-owned farm.
The production takes place in a state-of-the-art facility located 70 km from Addis Ababa,
Ethiopia.
The plant is designed to press 50MT/day (seed input) with the capacity to upgrade to
100MT/day.
The facility will cater for on-site storage of raw seeds and finished goods, with the
potential
for future expansion. Pharo Integrated Agricultural and Manufacturing Plc. will acquire the
relevant certifications including FSSC 22.000/GMP+.
Our edible oils meet international standards for food and other industrial uses such as
pharmaceuticals and cosmetics.
